In the sporting fraternity BLD has for over 10 years managed the media office of the internationally acclaimed grand slam tennis tournament, the Wimbledon Championships. BLD are current media consultants to the South African Tennis Association (SATA), the South African Hockey Association (SAHA), Netball South Africa (NSA) and the different provincial associations affiliated to these bodies.
For the past ….. years BLD have successfully managed Nike’s world wide Nike Junior Tour International Masters Tennis Tournament which is the single most biggest junior tennis tournament that helps unearth raw tennis talents at an early age, some current household names in world tennis, the likes of world number 1 Rafael Nadal, Juan Martin del Potro, Thomas Berdych, Shahar Peer, Robin Soderling, and Lucie Safarova are products of this initiative. BLD also consult to Nike International on their sporting, entertainment and charity projects.

In the past BLD was contracted to events such as the Nike All Star Rugby, Nike All Stars Soccer, the SPAR Women’s Doubles, the Rothmans Cup Soccer and Telkom USSASA Basketball.
BLD also played a major part in the organisation of the successful but now defunct SuperSport Show, the then ICT Travel Convention and have been in charge of the annual Indaba Travel & Tourism Show which is the third largest international tourism convention in the Southern Hemisphere.
BLD have managed a number of international sports events in the past but some of the major recent highlights are the successful hosting of the SA Tennis Open as well as the inaugural Soweto Open Tennis Tournament. Going further back, the tour by leading female tennis protagonists Steffi Graf and Anna Kournikova, The Nelson Mandela Golf Tribute and the Rothmans Cup are but a few of the popular events BLD organised and managed.

On social responsibility initiatives BLD have worked with esteemed former Presidents of the Republic of South Africa Mr. Thabo Mbeki on his “Childrens Promise” charity foundation as well as human rights activist and Nobel prize winner Mr. Nelson Mandela on his “Nelson Mandela Children’s Foundation”.
BLD have through their athlete management division, provided services to some well know local and international sports icons such as Marks Maponyane (Soccer), Doctor Khumalo (Soccer), Amanda Coetzer (Tennis), Jeff Coetzee (Tennis), James Small (Rugby) and many others.
