• Nik Scholtz captures 10th singles tittle

Johannesburg, South Africa – It was a good past week for South African tennis professionals on the global tours.

In Harare at the Zimbabwean F1 Futures, top seeded Nik Scholtz of Boland beat seventh seed Lucas Catarina of Monaco 2-6 6-3 6-0 to win his 10th professional singles title.

Then in Lisbon, Portugal – Ruan Roelofse of Cape Town teamed up with Christopher Rungkat of Indonesia to win the men’s doubles title of the Lisboa Belém Open on the ATP Challenge circuit.

In Rosmalen, Netherlands – Raven Klaasen of Cape Town and his American partner, Rajeev Ram made an impressive start to their grass court season reaching the final of the ATP Ricoh Open. Second seeded pair Klaasen and Ram lost 3-6 4-6 to top seeds, Lukasz Kubot (POL) and Marcelo Melo (BRA) for the title.
